Understanding Finishes & Sheen Levels
When browsing the range, you will notice different finish options. Choose the right one based on your preferred style and durability needs:
Matt / Flat Matt
A modern, low sheen look that absorbs light. Highly popular for contemporary architecture because it minimises reflections and hides minor surface imperfections well.
Satin
The versatile, classic industry standard. A subtle, smooth middle ground sheen that balances clean reflectivity with a soft appearance.
Gloss
A highly reflective, smooth surface that makes colours stand out and is easy to wipe clean. Suited to feature elements and doors.
Textura (Fine Texture)
A premium, micro textured finish with a unique fine grain feel. Engineered to resist marring, scuffing, and visible scratch wear over time.
Ripple
A distinctive textured finish that helps hide minor surface marks on fabricated items.
Primer
An anti-corrosive base layer. Essential for raw steel or harsh environments to prevent rust before your choice of colour is applied.
Which Product Line is Right For You?
Use the category tabs above to filter by your project type:
Excel™ & Living Series
The premier choices for residential and commercial architectural projects, ideal for windows, doors, gates, fencing and external cladding.
Anodic
Metallic powder finishes with a soft matt or satin sheen, for a refined metallic look on architectural aluminium.
Vivica™
A luxury architectural range featuring beautiful pearlescent and metallic flakes that shimmer subtly under changing natural light.
Textura
The ultimate high wear range. Choose this for high traffic items like handrails, commercial framing, or outdoor furniture where scratch resistance is critical.
What is the LRV on the Cards?
LRV stands for Light Reflectance Value, measured on a scale from 0% (absolute black, absorbing all light) to 100% (pure white, reflecting all light).
Transparency and Reliability
The Interpon powder coating range is backed by third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) to ensure complete transparency of raw materials, manufacturing, and transport.
High LRV (70%+)
Colours like Pearl White reflect most solar heat, keeping metal surfaces cooler under the sun.
Verified EPDs
Independent sustainability metrics verified by third parties, protecting your project while confirming environmental responsibility.
Low LRV (Under 20%)
Dark colours like Monument® absorb more heat and may be subject to local council design guidelines or microclimate building regulations.
Colour & Film Integrity
Engineered to deliver on promised durability standards, resisting severe UV exposure, colour shifts, and cracking over time.
Care and Maintenance
Maintaining your powder-coated surfaces is like caring for your car. Regular washing removes dirt, grime, salt buildup, and environmental contaminants that can cause chalking, loss of gloss, or colour change over time.
Wash using a soft cloth, sponge, or natural bristle brush with warm water and a non-abrasive, pH-neutral detergent.
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water afterward to remove all soap residue.
Clean in the shade and during cooler temperatures.
Never use strong solvents, paint thinners, or abrasive cleaners. For stubborn stains, use white spirits with gentle wiping only.
| Atmospheric Category (AS4312) | Corrosivity Level | Typical Environment | Minimum Cleaning Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| C1 & C2 | Very Low / Low | Non-hazardous / Arid, Rural, Normal Urban | Every 12 months |
| C3 | Medium | Typical Coastal (Bays, calm inland waters) / Urban | Every 12 months |
| C4 | High | Swimming & Leisure Pools / Light Industrial / General Coastal Areas | Every 6 months |
| C5 | Very High | Beach Front / Heavy Marine / Heavy Industrial & Smog | Every 3 months |
Sheltered or covered areas (such as under eaves or porch ceilings) can be at higher risk of coating degradation than open areas. Wind blown salt and pollutants collect on these surfaces without regular rainfall to wash them clean. Inspect and clean these areas more frequently.
